ANOTHER TUESDAY

What a day I had yesterday!  So busy.  I got up did a load of dishes, did a load of wash, baked some blueberry muffins, and got myself ready for Bible study.  We are still studying Esther.  This week it was about anger.  Another terrific study!  Next week is our last lesson in Esther.  I have really enjoyed this series and learned so much.  We are moving on to Luke in December.  I bought the study guide yesterday and after looking it over I am really excited about teaching this series.

On the way home from church I got another low tire pressure warning.  So I pulled into 7-11 and got some air.  Then I got myself ready for work and headed for Shop Rite to get a cake and card for Jerry's birthday.  His birthday was Sunday and he was off from work on Monday, so we decided to celebrate on Tuesday.

It wasn't as crazy at work as usual and I actually got a lot done.  That was good.  I put our new part-timer on the desk by himself for the first time.  Of course I kept checking on him and Diane hopped on and helped him out at one point.  But he did great.

Around 4 p.m. I set up the cake and card for Jerry in the workroom.

We were almost ready and were trying to figure out a way to get him back there when he walked in to tell me something.  Awww....  So much for the surprise.  But he was a little bit anyway.  I still had to go to the kitchen, get a knife to cut the cake, plates, forks, etc.  The cake was delicious and everyone kept asking me if I made it.  I wish....

Diane wanted to go to Rite Aid after work.  Since she does not have a car, I offered to take her to the big store that I pass on my way home from work.  She goes to a tiny one around the corner from her house.  She was only going to get some paper towels, but once she saw the 50% off Christmas aisle, she acted just like me and ended up spending a lot of money.  Of course I ended up getting stuff too, but I didn't go overboard like she did.  I spent only $10 and part of that was an iced tea for Joe and a box of tissues for my desk.  I will be taking pictures of what I got and show you later.  They always have such cute stuff.

Time for me to get ready for work.  Diane is off the rest of the week, so it's just Bob and me today.  It's going to be a l-o-n-g day.  But at least it's an early one.

So until later folks...
